Did my first recording last night. I patched into a taper's rig at a small bar (Lakeside Lounge in NYC) for a Chris Harford show. it wasn't a perfect recording-- levels were off at first and I started the recording in mp3 and then aborted to reset things-- that said, it's 90% listenable. The taper didn't have an optical out from his pre, so he patched me through his dat deck through my denecke AD-20. Not sure if this was the best thing, but it worked. The transfer to my iBook with OSX worked flawlessly and relatively quickly once I got the computer to recognize the njb3, which took a few times. On to more recordings this upcoming week!

I didn't use iTunes at all... it doesn't show up in my iTunes window. I used that OSX JB3 program... I'm not sure what it's called (I'm at work) but look around some here and you'll find a place to download it. IT's a program that someone wrote for this purpose-- works pretty well.
