never played with this, but 10klf is the perfect chance...plenty of room, and the stacks are split waayyy more than 110'....advice, thoughs are appreciated. Thanks, Marc
split em 10'!!!!
there is nothing wrong with doing em A-B split like that. More than 10' could make the dreaded hole in the middle, but one of my all time fave tapes are indoor split MK4s from 95 Phish
thanks Phil, gonna do it...wtf, it is McPanic, after all. :P
no doubt!
and with those lovely 4022s, the low freq signals will sounds even better...They'll be so clean they'll dirty your undies :veryevil: :yahoo:
+t for splitting the 4022's. Never tried it myself but have thought about it, though in a different situation, for stage taping where one instrument is really low in the mix (like a percussionist off to the side), I thought a split with mics at the sides of the stage pointing inwards could turn out nice. Anyone ever tried this?
FWIW: I have Phish Molson 99' on split 4V's(V2>AD1000?), I think it sounds pretty nice. No idea how wide the split was on this though.
i've run split cards a few times, and they sound really good, imo.
though..i'm becoming a fan of much smaller spacings. like 4-8' in my splits.
I'll be playing with a bunch of this stuff at the "big summer classic" show next week.
sounds like a new burger at McDonalds or something.
I am considering doing this at ACL this year as well, as there will be plenty of tapers...may have to give it a shot!
do it. i love my warren and friends, which was split 4022s

Try it when I'm there... we can do 4022(split)>722 vs 4022>722 and we hear what the difference is.

marc-
i may have to run your 4022s split at red rox in august if you send them over with Simpy!
I've run 4023's split just about 24' a few times. But mine were sitting about 4' from each stack, but they certainly do smoke.....
Give it a shot!

you're probably thinking of 7/6/00 at the molson 4v > v2 >ad1000. according to the info file that I have, the mics were split 30 feet.
