I do believe so. I have the Big Ass Shures and they work great. Even @ Red Rocks :o

I recommend the Shures--just because I have used them before. used once at Memphis in May on the Mississppi River---major league wind and absolutely no wind noise noticeable ;D

I found the generic DPA ones did pretty good with my 391's better than they do with the DPA's.

Now are the Shure's alot more dense than the DPA's in a sense of foam quality? I mean 70 for 2 shures vs 30 for two dpa's. For the money I am thinking of getting the DPA's, but if there is quality issues then I will go for the Shure's.

The Shures do a better job of cutting out strong wind, IMO.

I agree...my opinion is if there's strong you're screwed anyways as strong wind will phase the sound long before it gets to your mics.

i own both pairs
you need to run screens anywhere tho, keep out dust/smoke/etc and also protects them from the dreaded fall a little bit better

The way I looked at the windscreen situation is this:
I could buy the DPA's and be happy with them but still need a set of the Shures
or
just buy the Shures because now you are covered for any situation that arises.
The Shures are more expensive and bulkier but dammit they work and work great. For indoors use the stock AKG screens. Not great ibut perfect for indoors.

Thanks OFOTD,
A set of Shure's it is.
