Title: DPA CXO4000 and schoeps A-20
Post by: Zee on July 21, 2005, 12:20:20 PM
Will the base of the CXO4000 fit in the schoeps A-20 shock mount?

from what I understand it will with a few wraps of electrical tape around it, it will.

I have taken the bar out of my vark bar and screwed into the CXO4000 and that definitley fits...as another option

I also use the threaded vertical portion of the vark bar to go into my A20s with the DPA mounts.

FWIW: You can purchase just the threaded rod part of the vark bar from posthorn for this purpose.

get a piece of 3/4" dowel, and a 3/8-16 machine screw/woodscrew combo.
Drill the 3/4" dowel lengthwise down the center, screw the wood screw portion onto the dowel until only the machine screw is exposed.  Screw the cxo mount to the machine screw. The 3/4" dowel stud fits the schoeps mount perfectly.

Anyone have an A-20 they want to sell?
