Quick question about EAC.
*Somewhat* taping related, but i think youpeople would know this better than any other forum i visit.
okay::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Say you have a tape that has been tracked and put onto CD,
And you do not have the master dat or untracked master wav,
And you want to remaster this tap,
But after you remaster each track, and put them back together, you get a small click inbetween tracks . . . .
Question::
HOW do you set EAC to rip the entire CD as one single wav file without tracks??
Is this possible? I'm not seeing any option too.......
If not is there another program that can rip to a single wav in the same quality EAC does?

Just go for the IMG option.
You'll have the FULL WAV and a CUE Sheet.
So you can Remaster the WHOLE file (but DON'T CUT AND MODIFY THE LENGHT OF THE FILE OR THE CUE SHEET WILL NOT SERVE YOU MORE!)
I have remastered some of my shows directly ripping the whole cd and then applying the remaster.
Then you will avoid clicks, gaps and all this stuff.

OR, you could merely use the "copy range" function under the "action" pulldown menu. If the settings are left alone, the entire disk will, by default, be the "range" that's copied.
Copy range is also really useful for extracting disks burned on certain standalones (hhb 850 for one) which sometimes have trouble with first track extractions. In this case, start the range a 100 or so samples after the true beginning of the disk and all should extract fine.

Not trying to be Rude here, But I have a feeling if your unable to find a way to rejoin the tracks properly . My guess is you may not have the Knowledge to Properly "remaster" the album..
Do you have any source info on the show?
Have you tried to find a lossless source ?
Have you asked the person that taped the show if he minds you remastering his work?
I hate to see any source in circulation with 2 DAE's In the linage
(nothing like pissin' & shittin in the pool)

Not trying to be Rude here, But I have a feeling if your unable to find a way to rejoin the tracks properly . My guess is you may not have the Knowledge to Properly "remaster" the album..

I don't see anywhere in the post where he says he is going to be trading or sharing the project he is working on. He doesn't even say that it is a live show or a home studio project. The guy is just asking a simple question. ::)

I honetly didnt mean for the post to come off rude.
I just get tired of seeing shows over on the Dime and so forth with "remasterd" in the Linage but no other source info..
I guess Im just a bit too much of a purist . I hate seeing EAC in any linage ...

Perhaps instead of being a pretentious "purist" you could ask questions before you make completely offbased assumptions.

I use wav merge to create one wav file.

My 2 cents....if you don't have the offsets correctly setup I believe it can cause the glitches between tracks. You are always safest to rip the whole thing as a single file with the accompanying cue sheet. You can even use EAC to burn another disc from this - just drag the cue sheet into EAC. By ripping the whole thing as a single file you are limiting any offset errors to the beginning and end of the large file, where it won't likely matter if you're missing a few samples.
To do this, go action, copy image and create cue sheet ( or use the shortcut ALT+F7)
This is also the only way any kind of 'remastering' should be done. There is almost never a case for treating tracks differently on a live recording. If you want to split out to single tracks after the fact, you can use EAC's function tools, split wave by cuesheet or just pop the cue file into CDWave for splitting.
