Exists one instrument (economic) in order to find the level db in the room and setting my MMA6000 without go out of the concert hall for hear the sample?

that's difficult because it will also depend on the input sensitivity of your recorder. Does your recorder have meters or is it a matter of not being able to look at them. Maybe you could simulate the expected volume levels at home. It's always better to be too low.

Thanks for the answer, sorry now specific my gear:
2 DPA 4061> MMA6000 ( I will receive may be in september)> Edirol R1
Is difficult to calibrate the the level on R1 anyway someone tell me to put up at max level meter, use line in, and work on the level of MMA6000, but in my home I don't have to much db for test the gear.
Thanks however.

hello I was wondering where on the edirol r1 do you see the meters to make your db adjustments.
I use DPA 4061 with MMa6000 pre amp. I just got the r-1 and dont know where to see my levels on the r1 read out
thanks

You must to push the display button when you are in pause before to start the recording.
But the rec level is very approximate.

Even with professional equipment there is a need to test in live situations.
You will get a feel for settings.
Luckily with 24 bit you can be a few db low and still get a decent recording.
