Just wondering what your thoughts are on http://www.core-sound.com/HighResRecorderNews.html (http://www.core-sound.com/HighResRecorderNews.html) ::)
looks interesting, anyone out there actually record onto PDA? if so how are the results?

not to be a pessimist but i'll believe it when i see it. personally i just don't see a pda as being a viable means of recording, especially since it is being developed by the makers ever so wonderful core sounds 7pin cable.
that being said it would be nice if it did work. 8)

i don't doubt it's capabilities as touted, but i'll definitely have to see it before i believe it. plus i'm concerned about the high prices of storage and extra components you'll need to make it work, ie. expansion pack, possibly more battery power, etc. storage alone is gonna be several hundred bux for only 5 gbs which is maybe 2 shows at 24bit if you're lucky. which means if you're travelling, you're either gonna need more of the pcmcia hard drives or an external device (laptop) to offload to.
