Hey Rick -
I knew I had seen one before...
try
http://www.tensimount.com/ordering.htm -- look at "Li'l Stubby"

That would work, but something a little longer would be nice. But it might be my only option.
Any chance they make 1' boom poles :)

When I ran MBHOs I used a dowel rod - inserted both ends of the rod into the mic clips, then taped 'em up. Worked great, if a little ghetto.

Can't you just throw a Rapid adapter or Atlas Lo2B on each end of the L'il Stubby and have what you want?

ghetto :flack:
I was thinking about tring the Bogan Mini Boom. (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/product/5195/BO2944/REG/1375) I could get a nice little 3 and Half foot spread going. But then I would have to get some adaptors and I want to put it through a single Schoeps Shockmount and I'm not sure if that would work...

ok this has nothing to do with the topic, but re: that thread you linked to, for X-Y is it better to run one facing up and one facing down, or better to try and get a smaller vertical distance between the mics by building a riser?
