I use on of the smaller power runners for my jb3 and sometimes the ua5 and have no proglems with it.  this looks like a sweet setup!!  I might just have to upgrade...

Looks like the same thing as the power runner PR2310.  I've got one, and it is a nice battery.  I've used it only 4-5 times, but have used it with both the JB3 and the Microtrack -- worked great in both cases.  Batteryspace.com has them for a bit cheaper than the link Nick posted, $88 I think.

If anyone is interested, I'm probably going to sell mine in the yardsale since I've been using my Segue Juice Box along with a walmart battery for my MT.  Drop me a line or look in the yardsale (once I get my act together a get a for sale post over there).

Yeah I was wondering what the amp hours are at different voltages for this battery.  Is there a chart somewhere?

(volts / watts) * AmpHours = Run Time

The link indicates the following capacities depending on the voltage selection:

3V- 12.0 AmpHour
4.5V- 8.0 AmpHour
5V- 7.2 AmpHour
6V- 6.0 AmpHour
7.5V- 4.8 AmpHour
9-12V- 4.0 AmpHour

So, for a minime using the battery at 9 volts, it'd be:

9/5.5 * 4 = ~6.5 hours of runtime.

Edit: no idea about a JB3, but you ought to be able to plug in the numbers and figure it out.

OK, i have the battery and everything is cool. Just one question about the adapter plug that goes in to the back of the jb3. If I get the polarity backwards will the jb3 still turn on? I'd think not, but I don't know. It looks like it might be backwards, just looking at the diagram, however my jb3 powers up just fine. Any info is apreciated-kevin

My order arrived and it powered my V3 and Schoeps (48V) at the same time for over 3 hours and still more than half full. I think I can definately get over 4 hrs with this thing. Lighter/smaller/cheaper than my EC-90 Eco-Charge battery, too. One down side is the plug is quite loose on the V3 so I/you might need to put scotch tape to secure it while shealthing just incase an accident occur. Also the V3 battery low light keeps flashing from the start after fully charging the battery when you set the battery at 6V.

Can this be used with the FR-2?

what's the voltage? Check link in the original post for a list of voltages it will output and run time. I don't see why it wouldn't work.

The FR2 is 12V

The FR2 is 12V

looks like at 12V it's 4ah. I'm not sure how long it would run an fr2.

I have been running the FR-2 with a 12V 5Ah SLA but it recently quit on me. I want to get something much lighter as this SLA has ruined numerous bags already.

I would like some opinions from everyone. If you were me, which battery would you get to power the FR-2, this one:

https://www.batteryspace.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=172&strVarSel=&strCompare=

or this one:

I'm going to place my order for one of these today.

both batteries seem to be about the same capacity. The power runner has a handy battery meter, comes with a car charger, has selectable voltage, and free shipping. All this for 50.00.

The power runner battery is not heavy by any means, but the other one looks a little bit lighter. Both are much muich lighter than a comparable sla.

They both look a million times lighter than a SLA which gets me excited! ;D

I don't need the car charger but I assume it could be useful at one time or another. I assume the ac adapter is what charges it when plugged into a wall & such.

I went with the PR battery & will have it delivered by tomorrow. I'll let everyone know how it works out as I have two shows I am taping tomorrow.

I ordered the larger unit that does 12v.....I figure it switches between 3v and 12v so it should power everything just fine....Tascam P2..R1...MicroTracker and my Archos 402........all I need to do us hack a USB cable for the M/T........With my other 12V pack...I can "tape" for days...hehehehehe

highest voltage is 12v. would this work with my marantz pmd670 which needs 13v, though, anyway?
