can you open the piece behind the capsule? Looks like it should unscrew the ring but no. try harder? give up.
is this where the fet is? can it be replaced? part number?


has anyone ever sent one back to A-T ?

Yes, they can be removed easily. In first instance they're hardly fixed, but you can screw them out without problems if you try harder. Mine screw out.
