Title: Help requested - Nero stopped working!!
Post by: Humbug on October 09, 2005, 11:08:25 AM
Been using Nero for ages, this morning it comes up with an error message:

"Under Windows NT4/2000 burn rights are required by Nero to access cd recorders and cd-rom dvd-rom drives. Please ask your system administrator for permission to use Nero"

Then I go through the normal routine of dragging across .wav files to the left panel, press "burn" and it tries to burn an "iso" file to my pc, not the burner.

Under "CD recorder", "choose recorder", all I get the choice of is the "image recorder".

As you probably can guess, I need Nero to work to burn DVDs, CDRs and FLAC backup files.

Only thing I did out of the ordinary was to burn a DVD just before Nero went wonky on me, with DVD Decrypter (which does make an "image", or copy of the DVD on the hard drive)

Any help graciously accepted!

Cheers

I am not getting an error message, but I can no longet burn DVDs. I have tried many different brands, several uninstall - reinstall, and no luck. It gets to 1% and the comp crashes. CDR-s are fine as long as they are ISOs. Audio cds get spit out - they will burn but not verify. Running Athlon 900mHz 512mb ram - win2k. Driving me nuts! :banging head:
