Title: Level Drop Off Problem with JK Labs Setup
Post by: plover on October 09, 2005, 08:38:25 PM
This is the rig I run:

ck61s>actives>JK Labs DVC>Mod SBM-1>D8

The last 2 times I have taped everything starts out find, but about 5 minutes into the recording my levels drop off to the point that the recording is just about inaudible.  The 2 nine volts in the DVC finally died.  I am just wondering if that was the problem or if it might be something else.  This issue has never come up before, does anybody have any idea as to why this might be happening?

I'll trade you my AKG 461's (CK 61 + AKG C460b)  -> Segue Silver Clad XLR -> T+mod UA5 for your ck61s>actives>JK Labs DVC>Mod SBM-1     ;D

i had the same problem with mine...it's at jons lab. i think the problem is located between the active cable and the dvc unit.
