I fixed this problem. I forgot to turn off the attenuator under one of the caps. I am such a dumbass, sorry to BM2 for posting!
--------------------------
Just got my active mod Cm300's back from busman2 today. they look great! +t to you chris.
However i am noticing already that one of the mics has a much lower output than the other. Not necessarily lower in volume, but in clarity, response, and just fullness of the sound. I tried switching channels, phantom power adapters, headphones, everything I can think of so far.
I wish I had another preamp to see if it's my UA-5 or my mics.
Any help?
EDIT: I even switched the caps. I basically have decided that it is the mics. This is so frustrating.

Why didn't you just PM me about this? I would be happy to fix any problem that I can. Check everything with a voltage meter to see where the offending wire or connection is.

I am sorry for going public with this, but I really don't think it's busman's fault. Just for the record I am not doubting his work, because I was noticing this pre-mod. I was just hoping that the mod would fix it, and I guess it's a bigger problem.

Ya know. I've been noticing that I get higher levels on one of my active mod naks as well, but it's not a huge difference. Never thought of checking the pad. Thanks for sharing!
