Which model?  In what condition?  Purchased from whom (private party, retailer, etc.)?

it would be either the D8 or Tcd 100 and supposed to be in good condition, buying from ebay

I'd check around the yard sale before buying on ebay. I know there is a d100 in the yard sale now. I'm selling a M1 but I'm pretty sure it's sold.

My point is you can trust floks around here a lot more than ebay. & you'd know a little more history about the deck & prob get a better deal.

I have a M1 with oade active cable & other stuff for 350. But like I said a few people are biting on this already.

Good luck.

do your self a favor and buy one directly from pro digital. they have used dats and you can rest assured it will be fully functional

his prices are reaonable, the piece of mind is worth it alone.

or you can buy one off ebay, hope it works, and then eventually send it to pro-digital for a tune up anyway

here is a link to the site and his used gear list

http://www.prodigitalinc.com/

click the used gear link 1/2 way down the page on the left, and when you call ask for paul

good luck
