Title: Sound Card for Digital transfers and Stereo playback
Post by: Albix714 on October 18, 2005, 11:33:50 AM
Hi, I'm looking for a new sound card to run with WinXP Pro.

1. To do analog and bit perfect transfers.

2. To run analog and optical out to a Stereo system

I read the previous thread but it seemed a little dated.

Thanks Tim,

Do you run from the card into your amp/receiver or straight to your speakers?

I wouldn't buy a Creative product just on principle, they've put out so much gunk in the past.

Thanks, I'm not finding any of M-Audio products with optical I/O's. The only M-Audio product I owned was useless.

M-audio transit foots the bill nicely, usb-2 device that has been verified to be bit-perfect and has an optical input and optical output.  Can be had for under $80.
