Will this work for the MT?
This flash stuff is all too new for me.

Yes, it will fit, and should work. I don't know how MicroDrives work with the MT. I know some people have used them, but I'm under the impression that your recording time will be less.

That's ok. It won't be used to stealth and I'm pretty sure I'm going to build a battery pack for it.

The microdrives are less than the flash cards.

FYI-

I have the Hitachi 4GB microdrive for my MT.  I couldn't get the MT to recognize and format it through the original firmware.  (I don't know about the update.)  However I did get it to work by putting it in the MT with the power off.  Then I plugged in the USB line to the computer.  The computer recognized the drive amd I formatted it via my PC.  Now it works without issue.

mt doesnt do 24/96 reliably yet.

I ran tests on both last night. 24/48 SPDIF and 24/96 via the little t-mic included via 1/8". Didn't notice any anomolies. Although I didn't run extended tests...1+ hours.

I'll do a long test tonight...and will be in the field running it Sunday at the Moody Bluegrass show at the Ryman.

Not even with the mic-in or line-in? I know 24/96 isn't supported on the S/PDIF, but I haven't read about any 'regular' 24/96 instabilities..

The MT works at 24/96 through the analog inputs, the trouble lies with accepting a digital signal via the spdif at 24/96.

I just snagged one, there are 4 left.  The total came to $108 shipped I think.

Now all I need is a Microtracker  :)

I got the drive in the mail today; fast shipping.
Yea I got mine on Sat. It formatted fine with my MT.
