OK
so I finally taped a show with the MT (WAV/16/44.1/spdif in)
I saw levels for the whole 2 hours of the show. It was connected via a splitter from the out on my sony 7 pin, so I ran a m1 and the MT
problem:
On my computer, I loaded the audacity stuff, and all is well. I transfered the file to the computer. I opened it, saw all the wav file, songs etc. but when I play it, I cant hear anything, and when I export as a wav file, I open that file, and its a blank file :o
Im running Windows ME and Im confused

Are you able to listen to other WAVs on your PC using a different playback app? Are you able to burn the master WAVs (not exported from Audacity) to CD and listen to them? Wondering if it's an Audacity and/or PC audio playback config issue.

when I export the wav files in the 16 bit option, The come up as blank, so when I open them in soundforge 4.5 or cdwave, they are blank.
I tried to open it in cdwave directly from the audacity file thing, but it wouldnt let it be used,
theaudacity is on my desktop, couldthat be the issue?
thanks forthereplies everyone! :)

What about opening the files in CD-Wave or other playback apps without first opening in Audacity and exporting? Try playing the raw WAV files copied from the MT - do not open or export them in Audacity first - using CD-Wave or another app.
