my 4x writer is only being detected as 1x by nero6, wtf?

ive had problems with nero in the past not recognizing my burner right, make sure you have an updated patch for nero as this corrected my issue

well, it is nero 6, the most updated version.

well, the retail ver comes with nero and ppl with the a05 have no problems, hrmmmm

well, i just updated the firmware and it shows 4x as an option until i insert this certain brand of media. i am gonna try a different brand when i get back in town. @%@$!^!#^

i just bought some memorex 4x dvd-r from BB and they work at 4x with my burner. no more liquid media for me! that shit is bunk liquid!

Try using Prassi PrimoDVD. I think its still available for free download (somewhere, not warez I swear!). I use it for my DVD burnings.. no issues!
