Title: ISO Mic Config Tip - taping Trey on Tuesday
Post by: tbrown4 on November 13, 2005, 08:05:09 PM
Hey folks,

I'll be taping Trey on Tuesday in PA.  I need some microphone configuration tips.

My seats are: Section R/C OR, Row E, Seats (117, 119)
Seating chart is here: http://www.ticketmaster.com/seatingchart/16389/4674

I can run Cardiod mics or Hyper-Cardiods. So....

1. Which do I run?
2. Where should I aim them?
3. What configuration?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

the tower sounds great. one note if you haven't been to the tower: i think your seats may be under the balcony, meaning the ceiling will be lower than the section directly in front of you. personally, i like being just a little closer, where the room is more open. FWIW at the black crowes show in september at the tower, i setup directly right of the soundboard. i talked w/ the usher and he was fine with it. however i have encountered huge assholes who work there, so YMMV
if i were you:
1. hypers
2. directly at the stage
3. DINA (90 degrees spaced 17cm apart
btw: do you have a taper's ticket?
