Title: Sonosax > T plus mod UA-5?
Post by: shaggy on November 24, 2005, 01:22:52 AM
Sonosax or Lemosax > Oade T plus mod UA-5

Anyone doing it like this?  Any comments?  I want to warm up the sound a bit with the AKGs.  They are a litle thin on the low end of things running straight into the Oade T+modUA-5.

Tim, XLR out and 12-24V power in on left hand side, XLR in and  stereo mini out on the right.

Where did you have your dial on the back of the UA-5 set?

Ran the AKG483 > Sax > T+ mod UA-5 combo last night for Meltone at The Plug in Shibuya.  It definitely warmed things on the low end of things but I am still noticing some clinical sound in the high end.  I love the detail, no doubt....but it is a trade off getting that and sacrificing the warmness.  I suppose some stuff will sound better with this and other stuff with the w-mod.

Just curious...does the Oade-ness (W,T,P) affect the UA5 line inputs also? I was under the impression these mods only affected the UA5 mic inputs?
