has this happened to anyone? and what do i do to fix it? i've taken the batteries out and it still does it. ???
-
try hitting reset with a paper clip. its a recessed button on the bottom.

Have you tried booting into rescue mode? To do this, hold down the stop button the insert the batteries or reset. Once the Creative screen pops up, hit play. You will get a menu choose either clean up, or format all (this will format the drive). Hope that helps.

i tried restarting it in safe mode but i'm not sure if i'm doing it right. do i hit play while still holding down stop?
-
You need to release the stop button once the creative screen pops up then quickly hit the play one. May take a bit to get right.

You need to reload the firmware. Go to www.nomadness.net. Go to download section and download the latest firmware to your PC, v. 1.40.06, I believe. Then do the following:
1) open the Read Me file that comes with the firmware, and follow instructions. Those instructions should be so:
1) turn on your JB3
2) connect JB3 to your PC via USB
3) Creative software should automatically open up on your PC, recognizing the JB3 and connecting to it.
4) double click on the firmware and install will begin
Try that and let's see what happens.
See if that works.
