I still think that annealed copper tubing filled with clam juice, in pairs, make the best speaker cables.   ;D
That guy has issues and too much time on his hands.

Clam juice ehh?  Raw or cooked?

Raw. use 1/8 inch sealed mahogany to make the spreaders, every 6.67inches (ORTF spacing), silver solder to banana jacks, ensuring no clammy leakage !
Never exceed 20 feet, and best if no shorter than 5 feet.
Keep perpendicular to all AC power wires and lines within 2.3 miles
No sharp bends
Be sure to suspend them with fishing line 6.67 inches from the floor using 100lb test fishing line tied to eyebolts in the ceiling

I'm still tweaking the final design.....       ;D

What are you using to seal the wood?  You should be aware that the minwax stuff tends to cause bloated bass and rolled off highs.  I'd stick with a natural varnish or tung oil if you like a more musical presentation.

Thanks, I was wondering where I was loosing the transparency.
I'll resand them and hit them with some tung oil over the weekend.

Now, if only I can diffuse that digital glare !
Sandbags on top of the CD player and sneaker soles beneath ?

I personally club baby seals and harvest their oil to seal all wood products.  I am sure that would work on the 1/8" mahogoney.  if not then you could squeeze some fresh minks for their oil.  Never silver soldered a banana before, better practice on a few plantains.

keep us posted!

This thread is hilareous.

Although don't discount the CD tweak until you try it.  I placed a 10ld iron dumbell plate on top of my CDRW700 and I swear it improved the sound a little.

Honestly, if you're not juicing a unicorn's horn to bless your shielding, you might as well be listening through a tin can on a piece of wax string.  The trick is to make sure you're in the southern hemisphere during the moon's third trimester.  Once again, if you wait too long and bless your cables during a waning gibbous... shit, you might as well fart into a mustard jar and listen to that.

I think Genghis Cougar Mellen Khan is running that rig - at least thats what he has in his sig.

His involves a Dictaphone.  That is where he gets his quality recordings... through ironic technology.

Don't mess with his mysticism.
