backatcha...

I'm still trying to figure this thing out, I'm not sure if I'm really digging it's sound or not.  Don't get me wrong, the bass is tight (tube concern) the midrange is nice and liquid, not too warm (pretty neutral imo) and the top end is smooth and sweet, but there's something holding me back from really digging it so far.  It's just day one, I still have a quite a bit of playing to do, haven't really had a chance to open it up much either.

I'm not sure if the tubes have much burn in (not new as far as I know), I'm assuming they do, but I'll have to ask the person I bought it from.  I have the day off, so trust me, I'm working on burning them in if they weren't already.  :P

I'm going to move back to my old post for some pointers:

they should have some burn in but I doubt 100 hours.

recommend you try different tubes before you decide if tubes are for you or not

Tack on another 10hrs today, I'll be getting there soon enough...

I haven't even broken the ice yet, just an initial assesment, how many times is that right in the end?  I just threw in PF - Animals, DAMN what a difference!

I'm thinking I might hear a much more drastic difference in source material, I'd have a lot more things listed but I couldn't swap out what few things I've played...

Any chance you could look over that cheesy diagram I made in the other post Trey and see if I'm biasing the tubes correctly?
