Title: DC area installers?
Post by: jpschust on December 16, 2005, 03:12:34 PM
Can anyone reccomend a really high end dc area installer?  I'm going to have to have some in wall electrical work done on my condo including a lot of in wall speaker work- I'd like someone who has a knack for audiophile work to do the job.

Easy way to find certified people to do the job.  Of the 5 or so "high end" shops around me, only 2 are actually certified to do the job.  I'm planning installer I and designer certification by the end of 2006.

Myer Emco, don't laugh. I worked @ the rockville location back in the late 80's and they had some really excellent installers, even back then. now it's a huge chunk of their business.

After some really crappy post service from buying my mcintosh units from them i won't use them anymore.  Not to mention I won't use monster electronics in my home.

Yeah, I've tried to deal with Myer Emco a few times and I always leave unhappy.  Even when I had cash in hand, they seemed completely uninterested in helping me.
