Hey guys, I need some help here.....to record 2 channels at 24 bit 96k, how much space will 3-4 hours require???? I need to find out how many flash cards to purchase in order to run a 744+722 this NYE run

2 channels, 24/96 is about 1 hour per 2 gigs. So about 8 gigs for 4 hours.

Maybe I'm missing something, but wouldn't you just record to the harddrive?

record to the internal hard-drive instead of CF.
also, make sure you set the autosplit(I'm assuming the 7xx has this feature) so you dont have to deal with the 2GB barrier in post production.

i am using one unit that is not mine and I will not be taking with me...therefore, I need flash to walk away with those two tracks

if you have a laptop/computer, you could always tranfer the tracks via firewire...
is this Schmidt? if so, I would imagine that Hatgis would have no reservations...
