Post by: georgeh on December 21, 2005, 08:50:40 AM
I countinue to get an error everytime I download eac, missing win32.dl (?)
I've googled the win error and see where i can download various options, most of which have a cost invloved.
any other free software i can use in place of eac?
Most of the time I am transfering my original dats and just use SF, but I'd like another option
peace

search your c drive files and see if that file is actually missing

try older/other versions of eac

nothing else i know of burns a 100% copy, so cant help ya there, but if you dont care about that, d/l a newer version of cdwave and use the DAE(Digital Audio Extraction) tool, it looks like a disc

and if you really dont care, just copy in windows/whatever to your HD

Do you have wavelab ? You can set it up to make several "passes" and it will compare the checksums of each pass to determine an error free copy.

I have only used it a few times for non-essential rips and it seems to work great. I have seen it refuse to copy the files if the checksums dont match so I know it works.

Also what version of Windows are u using ?

depending on the version you may have to install additional files.

I have also used wavelab 4/5 and it is definitely not bit-perfect YMMV tho

Hmmm, It works now??? I've been trying to get eac to dl for two months, on and off, everytime same problem.
Well the beta version.095 just dl and works fine. Oh well, sorry for any wasted time, f$^$$^ computers, couldn't be my cpu skills. I did do something slightly differenent, guess the beta was the correct option
