Title: problems w/ "Power2000" batteries for 722?
Post by: Craig T on January 01, 2006, 03:30:32 PM
I've had 4 out of 4 "Power2000" batteries fail over the last week - 3 6000 mAh and 1 7000 mAh.  They all did the same thing - upon removal from the 722 (all on the first removal), the battery contacts broke off the batteries, leaving them useless.  It appears the solder connecting the contacts to the battery cells broke.  I've been using the stock battery that came with the 722 with no problems.  I am VERY frustrated with this and was wondering if others have experienced similar problems.

What high-capacity batteries have people been using other than the "Power2000"?

Sounds like the problem Moke had.  His pulled out but I don't think they broke so he was able to epoxy.

My 6000's are "Hi Capacity".

I've got four Power2k's and had the same problem with one of them... and just like you, it was the first time I used it.

Luckily it didn't break the internal connections. I just pushed it back in and strangely, it's never re-occurred.

They've definitely got/had a problem.

they have quality issues.  Mark Lynn had the same problem on first use.  Luckily I have 2 of them though and have had zero problems...makes me believe it is a manufacturing issue and a couple of lots may be bad
