Title: Recording Live Music
Post by: Pokey1 on January 04, 2006, 12:26:26 PM
I recorded a open mike night at a local club on my Micro Track. The red light came on instantly even after turning the levels down all the way. Sound a little distorted. Can the micro track do live recordings using the mic that came with the MT for gigs like that. Or must I buy better quality mics. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I like my MT. Thanks

I think I'd only use the included mic for controlled sound situations (i.e. in a room with just two people talking) where anyone whose voice was to be recorded would be able to speak directly into the device.  I think of it as if it were a news anchor's microphone.
