Title: Microphones on Sony PCM-D1
Post by: super-phat-al on January 26, 2006, 12:51:24 PM
The microphones attached to this piece of gear don't look to be in the standard X-Y configuration like Sony claims.  Am i missing something?  I find it hard to believe that they would overlook something as easy as correct mic config.

Maybe they "moved" the mics a touch with a bit of electronic phase delay?

That things looks freaking cool a sheet, BTW.

I still think its an overpriced piece of equipment... The mics are stupid... Inreasing the bulkiness
of the device, when most of the people are attaching their own mics.

That said, even if its an equipment for journalists, its way overpriced and bulky.
