I've been running V3>722, but switching to mics>722 for a show or two, and can't remember these two things. Limiter enabled? Mics gain range on low gain or normal? I know these are pretty much the users choice, but what are the more popular settings? Thanks.

I avoid using the limiter and especially bass roll off. Don't clip the latest firmware hard (I'm back at 1.46) under any settings. Don't let the unit clip with the BRO on.
The limiter is good for situations that require it. It comes in at -6dB.
"low" gain (18-55) is appropriate for most any source unless it is extremely quiet or extremely loud.

Latest firmware? Did I miss something? I'm at 1.46 also. So I disabled the limiter and put the mic gain on low. Think thats were I had it last time I used the 722 solo. You lost me on Bro. ??? Thanks.

Various new bugs have been introduced past 1.46. I'm staying there till they add something I need/want

bro = bass roll off.

bro = bass roll off.
oops ::). Looks like I overlooked 2 firmware updates. So 1.46 is still good to stay with for now? Everything works fine for me, just wish the firewire was faster.

yeah, I am at 1.46 now and am staying til they do something in an update that will affect me (optimized FW speed being my biggest hope)

so is 1.46 still the most stable firmware or are any newer ones stable as well? i dont like the sound of the clipping BS w/ other firmwares, is the clipping/overloading harshness w/ 1.46 as well ???
