Title: Nak100 vs. Nak300... whats different?
Post by: china_rider on March 18, 2006, 12:43:51 AM
Ok.... So after getting a pair of 480s I've sold my Nak100s to help with the cost.  The Naks were my first mics and it was sort of like giving away my first born.... I am already having sellers remorse as the Naks would have been good to loan out to friends or to cover a second stage at a festival.

Anyway... My question is ,besides the battery, what really is the difference between the 100s and the 300s?  I had a buyer contact me from another board that offered a great price on my 2XCM100+cp1, cp2s (in pristine condition).  He mentioned that the price he offered was mostly because he did not want to deal with the strange battery of the 300s.  He had also tried to purchase 300s though ebay a month or two ago but the bodies were ruined by battery leaks so he sort of got screwed.  It was an offer that I could not turn down but it got me thinking why he was offering significantly more for the 100s than the auctions out there on ebay for the 300s.  So other than the battery are there any major differences?

Thanks for the info.... T+

I'm sort of amazed at the offer I got for my 100s... it got me thinking wha the dif was.  Maybe I will pick up a set of 300s for about 1/2 the price I sold my 100s for. :-}
