Title: cool edit pro

im interested in matrixing my first show and want to know if everyone agrees that cool edit is the best program, or can you recamend something better?   

also where would be the best/ cheapest way to get it?

CEP/Audition, Wavelab, Soundforge Vegas, and there a handful of others I can't remember off the top of my head.  It mostly comes down to personal preference.  If you want inexpensive, try Audacity.

Whoops...guess SF doesn't handle multitracking after all.
