(See this thread for more background http://taperssection.com/index.php?topic=61949.0)
I had recording issues, so when I got home, had to do the "chkdsk /f/v/x" and it recovered several files.
The main file, 1.4gb, will not open in any WAV player or editor (tried CDwav and Sound Forge8).
Ran "All Media Fixer" (http://www.realconvert.com/MediaFixer/index.htm) and that completed, but the WAV still wont open.
Anyone else had any success with fixing WAV files?
TIA-Greg
have you tried opening as raw wav with cool edit pro? i had a file that wouldnt open with any of the other soft i had including soundforge but it opened with cep, you might give that a try
No I have not, I will have to grab a copy and try it out.
Thanks!
Here's the instructions Craig T gave to help me get the raw file opened in wavelab:

I will give that a try, but I am not optomistic yet, a the file wont even open in other apps... so I hope I can at least open it in Audition. Thanks George!

Being a heavy soundforge users, Audition is new to me. Can anyone point me to a tutorial or something?
Also, when opening the file as a raw file, there is no choice for a 24 bit file, 8, 16 or 32... is this normal?
My file is 24 bit, 44.1

Sorry, forgot to mention that I didn't use Audition. I was able to follow Craig's steps using Cool Edit Pro v1.2.
Just to wrap this thread up, the Cool Edit 2.1 pro (foind from BT sites) worked correctly per the link sent above.
I had to use the 2 channel, save it raw, convert it back to 24 BIT PCM file and all is well.
Thanks for the help everyone!
