Newbie here. Just got a Samson Mixpad 4 and an iRiver ihp-120 for doing field recording. Would like to have it all in a nice carrying case where I could keep everything hooked up and ready to go so I could just open the lid, power on, hook up mics and record while leaving stuff in the case. I also got a visivox t stereo mic for using the iRiver without the Mixpad. Hmmm... guess I should have room for power supplies when I can plug in, cables, etc. And maybe a separate phantom supply? Seems like this box is getting bigger. What is the smallest practical size folks have used for this stuff?
Thanks!

Go to your local camera store and take a look at the LowePro Nova 5.
This has worked well for many tapers. Another option is to go to Walmart and look at the fishing tackle bags they have. I was able to adapt one for my AKG 480's> PMD671 rig.

If there is a Fry's electronic's in your area, they usually have a nice selection of camera bags that will work for a small rig.

Wal Mart tackle box is what I use, canvas kind with a lots of pockets, bought it for $20 bucks.

Thanks... I will check into these. Also wondering about a more hard case kind of solution.

For hard case, it's tough to beat Pelican. Which model depends on how much space you need for your gear.
