Hi all....
I am wondering if there is such a way to set up a recorder to turn itself on at a specific time and record for an hour or two and then turn off. I'm wanting to do some remote field recordings at sunrise and sunset every day for a week or so. Is there such a beast out there? Or can I rig something up? Thanks in advance.
Oh...and I'm not concerned with format...flash, MD, DAT....as long as the freq. response is good.

you can do that with a laptop using cdwav.
Matt
*edit* you will also need a pre, interface, and mics.

722/744t will handle it as well I believe - depending on what your budget is

I believe wavelab will also function in this manner

Thanks for the replies guys.
One more thing to add, I will be deploying these out in the woods and leaving them there for days at a time. I wouldn't want to leave a laptop out there for fear of it getting stolen. Is there any other hardware I can use? I was thinking of using a digital voice recorder that has a timer function. That seems to be my best answer so far.
