Is it a 24-bit file? Download foobar2000. It's a great player!

I haven't tried to use foobar for broadcast wav files.

But .bwf files are really pcm files the same as .wav files with metadata. Foobar will likely skip the metadata.

As an experiment, just rename the file with a .wav extension (if it won't play it). Likely though, you could right-click on the file and select open with Foobar2000.

Windows Media Player cannot play the file. One or more codecs required to play the file could not be found.

Is there a codec to play 24 bit files with Windows Media Player?

I was waiting to see if someone knew a definitive answer to this question. My experience has been that I have never seen WMP play a 24-bit file. AFAIK, most people use DAW software for this or players like Winamp or Foobar2000.
