Title: HAs anyone had any luck with Refurbished DATs?

I'm looking into buying a Sony portable DAT and i want to know if it buying Refurbished units is a good idea or not.

It should be...most refurbished units from sony come with a 90 day warranty

I agree with Nick.  I know a couple folks who have bought refurb decks from the Sony Outlet in Colorado, theirs came with a full factory warranty....neither has had any trouble with 'em.

refurb d8 is the way to go, usually goin for 350-400

Yeah, i know him from the Clutch messege board, and he had asked about getting a Dat and recording, so i gave him some info and gave him links to here and Oade.
