I am having some real dificulties installing the latest drivers on my computer. I have a laptop with xp home installed and a vxpocket v2. I had all the proper drivers on at one time but had some problems and needed to reinstall them. When I down load the install it says that I need to overwrite all the files. even after doing so I uninstall the previous install, reinstall the newer one and all goes well until a window pops up and says "cannot load the Digigram wave for the vx driver. the file may be missing, Try installing the driver again or contact your administrator". Well after numerous attempts it just doesn't want to work. What do I need to do to successfully install the wave driver?Any help would be greatly appreciated.

are you logged in as administrator?
did you get the drivers from the website?
-
Yes I got the driver from the web site
and as far a sbeing logged on as the administrator I really don't think so.
-
well, u prolly need to or have admin rights
-
admin rights?? I'm not really familiar with xp but Im the sole user and dont use any administrator settings (I think)

is the vxpocket in the pcmcia slot when you install the drivers?
-
no, and I was wondering myself if that was necessary. as I am having one of the taping communities kind souls make me a custom digi-in cable.
-
u need to insert the card before you load the software my friend. why do you need a custom cable?

Its a cable that has just the female RCA on it and none of the other xlr fittings, I believe this will be much less cumbersome in the field and will not make the piece that fits into the card so susecptable to breakage. So why does the card need to be installed in order to install the driver? I'm sticking my neck out on this one and hope its not to stupid of a question. Furthermore I cant tell you enough how much I appreciate you and everyones help here.

Jamie Lutch made some of them for some people on the other board. He is sending them out today I believe. You still might have time to get in on it. He charged $30 I believe.
