i was wondering what all the SD mics out there had fig8 as an interchangable cap option... these come to mind:
akg ck 94 (300 series, blue line)
akg ck 4 (old 45x series, supposably not compatable with 460 >:D , definately not with 480)
schoeps mk 6 (c/o/8)
schoeps mk 8
neumann ak 20
i didnt see anything for mg, mbho, or peluso... does anyone know of others out there? there are plenty of LD's with fig 8 as a selectable pattern...
-
neumann has one for the km140
mbho has one as well

not sure they took it off their website but a few members on here have it.
If I had to guess the number is 800

Why wouldn't the CK4 be compatible with the 460's and 480's? All the other CK caps are usable on them with the A60M...?

Here is what Jim Williams has to say about it. Even if it would work, good luck finding one ;)
| It is the same capsule used on the 414B-ULS. They were sold in '81/82
| then discontinued. I believe only 4 are in the U.S., I have one of
| them. They won't polarize from a 460B body because the 10 gig bias
| won't charge up the capsule due to internal resistance built into the
| CK-4.
| One very cool mod is to open up the capsule and carefully lift the
| gold pin from the rear capsule. This converts it into a cardioid
| capsule. If you use a C-60 body you create a poor man's C-12A. (At
| least one with a newer capsule). I used to display this capsule at AES
| shows as it always grabbed visual attention, "what the f*ck is THAT!?"
| Consider yourself fortunate to have found one.
