Running at a few outdoor shows soon. Anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks

Well, I can say NOT the AKG screens that are really pop not wind.
I've not used them yet (got them last year after the stock screens failed miserably at RockyGrass), but the Neumann WS89s are a pretty good fit. Think big, like the Shure A81WS. They're ~$35/per on Jack's Music Store. I've also heard wrapping a layer of lady's stocking around the screen can help, though I've never tried it.
Not sure what other options exist, so curious what others will have to say.

I taped my first outdoor show with my 414's last fall, I ran the stock windscreens since I didn't have anything else. That night I came home and listened to the tapes, they were riddled with wind noise. Realizing that the stock screens were absolute JUNK, I made a set of deadrats. I am running these over the stock windscreens, only because they stay on better that way (I don't want to risk hearing them rub against the mics since they are somewhat loose - ?). No complaints, and a cheap solution.
