Title: What happened with my recording?
Post by: macacopowa on May 19, 2006, 03:28:41 AM
Hi. The last night I had a frustrating experience, recorded my favourite band from balcony just up to the soundboard, I'm was very happy with the chance  but when arrive at home, the recording was a fucking shit!!
What fuck is it???

My rig was a cmc-2 > spsb1(basrollof 107Hz) > R1
Anybody have similar experiences?
What would be the cause?

;D... ya I dont think your clipping at -6

looks to be either some compression or brickwalling.

how does it sound?

did you try duplicating the problem at home? looks like brickwalling to my amatuer eyes.

does the R1 have a limiter function?

how close were you? seems like too many SPL's wherevere you were

does it sound distorted at all ??? if not, i wouldnt worry too much and maybe next time run attenuators after your mics if you'll be recording in that same situation frequesntly

my 0.02
