Ok, this worked 2 weeks ago, and I am trying to get a show off of my JB3 with Nomad Explorer.
I keep redownloading and erasing this software from creatives site, this software has worked perfectly since I have had it, and now I keep getting the same message.
Error signature
APPNAME: explorer.exe
AppVer: 6.0.2900.2180
ModName: ctjbns.dll
ModVer: 3.1.8.0
Off set 00044189
Lemme know what I should do, thanks!

I suggest sending a message to notmad support in case your copy is legal
they should be able to know what's happening
-
I downloaded the "notmad explorer" straight off of creatives website, cannot figure this out for the life of me...
Has anybody else had a similiar problem?

creative won't help you worth shiat if you have a problem. You can "clean up" the firmware or re-install the firmware without formatting the drive and losing all of your data.
I know you said Notmad explorer.....is it the one from this company? This is the program I use and have been very happy with it. They will help you with any tech problems.
Last I can send you the data cd for creatives organizer that came with my Zen micro (it goes back to organize the older Jb 3 also)

Good luck.

I think you mean Nomad Explorer. Notmad Explorer is a Red Chair Software product. Whenever I had trouble with Nomad Explorer, I'd un- and then re-install -all- JB3-related files: driver, Nomad Explorer, etc. It seems you've tried un- and re-installing Nomad Explorer. Tried all the JB3 related files? Should be a list of the various files in the JB3 FAQ, IIRC.

You are right Brian, I edited the post to say Nomad Explorer...
I deleted all jb3 stuff...now when I connect...my jb3 turns blue until screen that has:
1. data library
2. music library
after that screen shows, jb3 quits being lit up...click on music library, none of my shit it there??
wtf!
pissing me off, pls offer more suggestions guys.

I thought about this a bit last night.
A couple questions.
1. Can you see recorded files on the JB3 when it is NOT hooked up to the computer?
Try this.
1. Disconnect the JB3 from the computer, including the USB cable.
2. Shut your computer completely down, don't restart it, but power it off and then start by hitting the power button.
3. Wait til it completely boots.
4. Plug the USB cable into a different USB slot than you have been trying before. I have like 9 of them and sometimes one won't work for whatever reason.
5. Turn on power to the USB. Let it totally boot up.
6. Plug the USB cable into the JB3.
7. On the computer drill down to the 1. data library 2. music library.
8. Click on music library.
If this doesn't work:
Do you you know how to check on your ports/drives etc. to see they are working properly and have the installed drivers? Your USB hub could have failed. Check on the status of it.

The recorded files show up when the JB3 is not connected to the computer.
I only have 2 USB ports and do not know how to check them etc.
I tried your steps on both of them.
Dont know what else to do...
-
I re-deleted the driver and nomad explorer again today...
Has anybody heard of this problem or had it??
and know how to fix it lol
sorry to be PITA, but im frustrated.
thanks guys

Doesn't look like anyone here has the answer. Have you tried Creative Knowledgebase or Support (http://www.creative.com/support/) directly? The Nomadness forum (http://www.nomadness.net/)?

I have not, I know its not good to assume, but seeing how the JB3 is discontinued - I figured they wouldnt help me very much, but I will shoot them an email, it cant hurt.

Ive been in contact with him and no luck, just posted on NJB3tapers group at yahoo.
Recorded show with it 06/11/06 moe in Pittsburgh, still record, plays recorded shows, just cant transfer.
Stainless Steel Rat said my recordings are probably damaged, I think its the fact XP stinks.
Any thoughts??

Ok, would the drivers and such work on my home computer with Windows 2000?? maybe...
Or, can I go line out of jb3 to line in on Iriver??
or would I lose quality??

Nomad Explorer and drivers were installed to my home computer (running on Windows 98 SE) and got the recordings off of the jb3, but my lappy with XP gets errors lol
