call jim williams. http://www.audioupgrades.com/index.html
$175/mic = $350/pair. ~1>2 week turnaround depending on his work load.
i would allow for more than 2 weeks if he's busy
-
his site is prob just not updated, but it says 150/mic on the site
can anyone give me a fast overview of what makes the mod body "better" then the normal one?

it's $175 per mic - site is definately outdated, i believe that price includes return shipping but I may be wrong.
here is a summary that thegreatgumbino put together about the mod...

in a nut shell the mod makes the mics much quicker and cleaner sounding. very detailed and transparent.
to quote Jim Williams...
"...the 460 mod includes transformer removal, new LT opamp, Hitachi transistors, MIT caps, etc. Low end extends to 2 hz. Top end has smoother clearer sound with great low level detail, all the plastic overtones are moved. I have Schoeps, B+K, etc., and these are the most real mics I've heard. You can hear yourself smile from 3 feet away!"

Only thing better than mod460s is A61>mod460s. ;D Not quite as low profile as a pair of 4022s, but the closest you can get without moving to an electret cap (ck1x,etc).
-
will the mods run all ck caps 61, 62, and 63's?
-
and call Jim Williams, but dont waste time with email. He sucks at correspondence via email.

Exactly what Teddy said, some embrace the internet others don't and JW is one of those that don't.
