I'm buying the Edirol R-09 tomorrow...I don't even know what the hell 24 bit is.

I hate him twice as much since I ended up buying 2 of these units due to his show and tell at the Blues Fest.
Why I bought 2 is still beyond me, but I did.

Well, now I'm hating you too...turns out that just calling up and getting the R-09 off the shelf is impossible. Called about 7 online retailers before I found one (Sweetwater) that had some coming in that weren't all pre-ordered by someone else. Hopefully this batch will come in on time (was told a "few days) and I can get it with enough time to practice before All Good.

I didn't know the name the shop and I spent the better part of the morning going from retailer to retailer...cancelled my previous order from Sweetwater and picked up one from Pro Audio Gear for the same price but they have it in stock and will send tomorrow.
I just called Village Sound and while they don't have any in stock, they'll order it if anyone wants it....they'll even try to go lower than $399. I just didn't want to keep calling places and cancelling orders...

Unfortunatly my Edirol distributor is out of stock until mid-July. If anyone wants one and can be patient, I can order a few more. I should be able to sell these for around $350 once they arrive.

The R-09's are out of stock until mid-July....once they arrive, they will sell for $350.
The R-4 is in stock, but the best I can do on these is $1150. I have heard other vendors are selling these at this price, and as much as I'd like to make a sale, I just can't go any lower on this item. There isn't much markup on these at all. I can do free shipping to help out a bit......or I can throw in a cable or adapter if you need it. I am still waiting to hear back from my rep to make sure that these are in stock and are shipping before I officially take an order for one of these. I will report back ASAP.
As for my advertising dept., we don't really push the retail end of the business, because there isn't much money to be made. Before Froogle and a zillion online stores, it was much easier to sell to end users. Now anyone with a computer can shop online until they find the best deal. We concentrate on the production and rental ends of the business more than the retail sales.....much more to be made mixing sound for corporate events than selling mics and recorders.

Well, I ordered a few of the R4's from Edirol. Once I have them in my hands, I'll have 2 for sale (I'll keep the 3rd as a new toy). Once they arrive here, I'll post and take orders. I don't want to promise them to people before I actually have them in my hands, so once they arrive, I'll let you know. If it goes well and people want them, I can always order more.
