i am a complete newbie to this board, but i hear ppl hear know whats up with the bootlegging scene, and i am looking to get started recording concerts i go to. i am looking to get an mp3 player for under $300 that i can record with. i was looking at the iriver h10, but it says it needs a "cradle" in order for you to plug in an external mic. does anyone know how this works or if there is another model of iriver or another mp3 player that would be better for this? thank you in advance : )

Ok... before the bashing begins I would say you probably don't want to ask questions about the bootlegging scene... Thats sort of a dirty word around here. Now if you decided you wanted to record shows for personal enjoyment and not bootlegging check out the threads on the h120.
EDIT: (for link)
You probably want to read at least a few pages of this thread before asking more questions.
