Title: Neumann U69?
Post by: Unitmonster on June 20, 2006, 03:28:28 PM
Anyone tried one of these before?  Stereo neumann mic. One is up on ebay right now and it piqued my curiosity.  Looks pretty damn cool.

Yep, they are very nice. Doctor FOB and MWZ have one. Good vintage neumann sound, unlike the newer stuff. ;)

Go for it! You wont be dissapointed. I know a guy that specializes in repairing and modding them too, should issues arise.

;D  Hard to beat coincident LD's.  I've run my sm69 fet a few times so far - getting ready to take it on the road for some outdoor Ratdog/SCI.  I like sound through the V3 or straight into the 744.

DR FOB has a USM69 - w/ the control wheels on the body of the mic.  The sm69 has a seperate control box.

Run it Blumlein or M/S - full and spacious.
