Our head engineer (Mechanical not Audio) is heading over to Denmark next week for a few days. Any chance he could pick me up a spankin' new set of 4060's and a MMA6000 in their motherland for a better price than is avalible here in the U.S.? Worth the bother? If so, please let me know who to contact.

no and no. the prices are standardized, no discounts anywhere. I have called several times to get pricing and was informed that their prices are pretty much uniform no matter the locale.

I'd suggest buying the mics used and buying the preamp new, you can usually save several hundred on the mics, never seen a used mma6000 that I can recall, it will run you 450 or so new

Thanks guys, that's what I suspected.

No luck here either. There are some mailorder houses that might give a slightly better price. I have used www.thomann.de with good luck at times.
