Title: Tascam goes old school

Wow, I haven't seen new cassette recorders for half a decade. Well, at least they don't explode ;)
Hell, it even has XLR inputs!

That's great.  My first experience recording live music was in college w/ a Tascam 4-track.  My friends across the hall were good guitar players and owned a 4-track.  We'd sit in there and drink and they'd play and I'd run the recorder.  I still think 4-tracks are fuckin cool.

Plenty of great music is still made on 4-track recorders.  I'm glad I still have mine (though, admittedly, it's not nearly as nice as the one in this thread).
