Print Page - sbm-1 power consumption?

Title: sbm-1 power consumption?

I wanted to get a battery pack for my sbm-1 and I wanted one that could at least run all day at a festival. Does anybody have any suggestions or at least does anybody know how much power it consumes so I could try and find something.

I just pulled out my SBM-1 manual and it says Power Consumption = 2W.

Never used a battery pack with it but I get 6 hours with the rechargable energizer 2500 mAh batts.

I ran my D* and SBM1 off of the same 6V 7.2ah SLA at Phish 12/31/99. Ran all night (it was on for at least 9 hrs) and had a fair amount of juice left. At least 20hrs from a 6v sla, and I would say al least 5hrs on AA's, probably more....

500 milliamps is the current draw of the sbm-1.
a 7.2 amp hour battery should give about 14 hours.
