Title: Impulse ebay stock Ua5 purchase
Post by: Brett S. on July 16, 2006, 03:02:53 AM
Hey ts heads,
Long time listener first time caller.

Hope ya'll can help a ts newb out?

I just won an ebay auction for a used stock ua5 for$175 dollars, this was a complete impulse bid, have been wanting to upgrade from mixpad4 for while now. The problem is, is that I havn't open taped in a long while now, w/ good reason have 8 month old baby, and doesn't look like i'll be jumping back in anytime soon either.

Basicly have a couple questions:    Is this a fair deal?

Would there be anyone intersted in the unit, I completely understand and willing to take a loss as well as paying for all shipping and paypal cost in order for this item to go to someone who can put it to use  better then I can? Do not know much about item it is used,  will know more info when I receive it sometime later this week or early next.

This site is always very imformative and helpful, hopefully some of that will come my way, and I am always willing to pass it on.....

You could probably get 200 bucks for it in the yard sale.  Wouldn't even be ripping the buyer off given that Edirol doesn't make them anymore.

I'm sure there are plenty of tapers who wouldn't mind taking it off of your hands.

As long as everything works properly I think you got a pretty good deal.... I would test it out before you put it up in the YS.

Absolutly this post is all tentative till i receive the unit, and run what I can as far as tests from home.  Most likely I will transfer some dats that I have to my pc; via coax, and analog connections to make sure unit functions properly. The last thing I want to do is pass along junk. If it is crap well i'll take it as a poor decision( and continue to pay interst on my credit card for life because of it) byt if all is good hopfully it can help someone else out
